MEADOW COTTAGE BOARDING CATTERY is positioned within a quiet country setting and is a cat only environment with personal attention given at all times.
I, the Proprietor, have been an owner of cats for over 30 years. I am a member of The Feline Advisory Bureau (FAB), now known as International Cat Care, The Burmese Cat Club, The RSPCA, The Blue Cross and the PDSA.
All chalets are heated with a small radiator, have window shelves, sleeping benches and cat flaps. Pens are separated by brick walls (bottom) and white sheeting for sneeze barriers (above). For added security there is a safety corridor adjacent to the runs.
It is important that all cats are fully inoculated against Feline Enteritis and Influenza and that their vaccinations are up to date. If your cat’s vaccinations fall due prior to boarding, please ensure that there are at least three weeks between the booster and arrival at the Cattery. Please bring your Vaccination Certificate(s) with you each time your cat(s) is boarded.
NO CAT(S) WILL BE ALLOWED IN FOR BOARDING IF THEIR VACCINATIONS ARE OUT OF DATE.
Fleas and Worms:
Please make sure that your cat(s) is adequately treated for FLEAS, WORMS and other PARASITES before boarding.
Pet Plan Insurance is included in the price and gives cover of up to £1250.00 on any veterinary charges that may be incurred during your cat’s stay at the Cattery. However, this does not cover any veterinary fees incurred for conditions prevailing prior to boarding. Any veterinary fees that may be incurred, due to prevailing conditions, will be passed on to the owner(s).
Should your pet fall ill, whilst in the care of the Cattery, if major surgery is required, the cat has to be put to sleep or the cat dies whilst in the care of the Cattery, we need to know what procedures you would like us and the Vet to take in order for all your wishes and the necessary steps to be taken.
So that we can contact you, we need to make a note of your mobile phone or other contact number, together with a note of a family member or friend’s telephone number, if you are not contactable, then we can get in touch with either of them to get a decision.
Should any cat be under medication, we are happy to continue with the treatment required, including daily injections for cats with Diabetes. If there is a possibility that your cat is prone to Cystitis, Eye and Ear Infections, Fits or any other problems, then please advise so that we are alerted and can take the necessary action immediately.
Sorry, but entire adult males (over the age of 1 year) cannot be accepted for boarding.
Only cats from the SAME HOUSEHOLD will be allowed to share. There are facilities for up to 4 cats sharing. If at any time during their stay, there is a dispute amongst the family members and it is a continuous battle, we would, with your prior permission, remove the trouble maker(s) to other pens in the main Cattery, if they are available, to maintain a peaceful and happy environment. If there are no pens available at the time, we may consider moving them into an Isolation Unit until a pen becomes available in the main Cattery.
Beds, bedding, scratching posts and toys are provided but owners are welcome to bring their pets’ own beds and bedding, together with their toys, scratching posts and anything else that may help to make their pets have a happy and enjoyable stay.
Your feline friends are fed three times daily, if required. Individual diets are catered for, including prescription diets wherever possible, however, there are times where we cannot obtain the prescription diet and we would ask that you bring in your own supply.
Grooming is provided during boarding, if required.
Visitors are welcome to inspect the Cattery, preferably BY APPOINTMENT, and are asked not to touch any of the cats in order to minimise the spread of infection.
To ensure your own, your pet’s and your car’s safety, please drive in off the road, there is plenty of parking space within the grounds.
